Shipping & Delivery Policy

At The Inking House, every product is made or customised with utmost care, attention, and intention. Because many of our offerings involve calligraphy, engraving, or personalisation, we follow a thoughtful and detailed shipping process.

Processing Time

  • For personalised or made-to-order items, please allow 5–10 business days for us to prepare and beautifully package your order.

  • If your item is part of a live or urgent event, we recommend reaching out before placing the order, and we’ll try our best to accommodate you.

  • For non-personalised items (if in stock), we usually dispatch within 2–3 business days.

Shipping Partners & Charges

  • We ship across India using trusted courier partners like Delhivery, Bluedart, or India Post.

  • Shipping charges are calculated based on your order value and location and are shown clearly during checkout.

  • We offer free shipping on select products or above a certain order value, which will be mentioned on the product page if applicable.

Delivery Timelines

  • After dispatch, most orders are delivered within 2–7 business days, depending on your pin code.

  • For remote or outstation areas, please allow a little extra time.

  • Tracking details will be shared on your registered email or WhatsApp number once your parcel leaves our studio.

Packaging & Gifting

All products are carefully packed for transit. If you’re ordering a gift, we offer beautiful packaging options and can even include a handwritten note. Please mention your request in the order notes or contact us directly.

Shipping Delays

While we always aim to dispatch and deliver on time, delays can occasionally occur due to:

  • National holidays or strikes

  • Weather conditions

  • Logistics company issues

We’ll stay in touch in case of any delay and appreciate your patience in such rare cases.

Return, Replacement & Refund Policy

Because our products are customised, handcrafted, and often made to order, we do not offer returns or exchanges unless there’s a genuine issue with your order. Each piece is created with deep intent and care, and slight variations are a natural part of handmade work.

What can be returned or replaced?

We will replace your item if:

  • It arrives damaged or broken

  • You receive the wrong item

  • There is a personalisation error from our end

In such cases:

  • Inform us within 48 hours of receiving your parcel.

  • Share clear photos of the item, outer packaging, and shipping label via email or WhatsApp.

  • We will assess and offer a replacement or credit note on a case-by-case basis.

What is not eligible for return?

We do not offer returns for:

  • Personalisation mistakes provided by the customer

  • Minor variations in handwriting, engraving depth, colour, or natural material textures

  • Change of mind or preference after order placement

Each piece is made with a human hand — not a machine — and will carry the charm of that imperfection.

Order Cancellations

  • You may request a cancellation within 24 hours of placing your order if it has not entered production.

  • For customised products, once we begin personalisation, cancellations are not possible.

Refunds

  • Refunds are offered only in case of damaged or lost parcels where a replacement is not possible.

  • If approved, refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days to the original payment method.
